Details

The VW Golf Mk 5 (1K) 2WD is legendary in the VW Tuning and Styling scene. It's proved over the years to be a proper enthusiast drivers' car, especially in GTi form, and the Stance+ Ultra Coilover Kit is one of the best-value setups you can put on it. Gas-assisted damping, zinc-plated bodies, up to 90mm of adjustable drop, and 55mm front struts to match the (1K) platform.

The Ultra dampers are filled with FUCH damper oil and gas-charged, tuned around 25-30% firmer than the factory shocks. The gas assistance delivers a more progressive damper feel that sharpens turn-in and cuts body roll, while NOK oil seals keep the kit running cleanly year after year. Chrome silicon springs are shot-peened for strength and powder-coated black to help prevent corrosion.

Whether you run the smaller engine 1.4, a 2.0 TDi, or a full-fat 2.0 TFSi GTi Edition 30, the VW Golf Mk 5 transforms when you get the suspension right. Fill the arches, sharpen the handling, and get the car sat exactly where you want it. The VW Golf Mk 5 is one of those platforms where a good coilover kit makes a huge difference to the ride and handling.

Fitting is a direct swap for your factory suspension. Reuses your OE top mounts and bearings, but we always recommend fitting new items at the same time. Professional installation and a laser alignment reset are essential. Two adjustment spanners and up-rated drop links are supplied. 2-year unlimited mileage warranty as standard.

Kit supplied with 55mm front struts.
