The VW Golf Mk 4 R32 is a flagship model sporting a 3.2 V6 engine combined with a clever Haldex 4 Motion drivetrain. Arguably the best looking and performing Golf MK 4 VW ever produced. Twenty years on, it is still one of the most desirable hot hatches VW has ever built, and the Stance+ Ultra Coilover Kit has been engineered specifically for it. Damping calibrated for the extra weight of the V6 and the 4 Motion drivetrain, combined with up to 100mm of adjustable drop.
The Ultra dampers are gas-assisted and oil-filled with FUCH damper oil, tuned around 25-30% firmer than factory. Because this kit is set up specifically for the R32, the damping rate and spring rate are matched to the additional mass of the 3.2 V6 and the 4 Motion drivetrain. The coilover bodies are zinc-plated to help prevent corrosion. NOK oil seals are fitted for long-term reliability; chrome silicon springs are shot-peened for strength and powder-coated black for extra weather protection.
We all know the VW Golf MK 4 R32 sits pretty high from the factory, lowering the car around 40-55mm makes a huge difference to the looks and driveability. Lowering fills the arches, tightens the handling, and gives the R32 the road presence and stance it deserves.
Fitting is a direct swap with your factory R32 suspension. Reuses your OE top mounts and bearings, though we always recommend fitting new items alongside the kit. Professional installation and a full laser alignment reset are essential after fitting. Two C spanners and a pair of up-rated drop links are supplied in the box. Not suitable for front-wheel-drive Golf Mk 4 models. 2-year unlimited mileage warranty as standard.
