The key to the Proline's capability is base adjustment. Rather than simply winding the spring seat down the coilover body, the Proline front struts are adjustable in overall length. The whole unit gets shorter or longer depending on your target ride height, and because the piston rod position relative to the strut body doesn't change, you retain 100% damper travel throughout. Height adjustment is possible while the kit remains fitted to the car.
The Proline's gas-assisted, oil-filled dampers are filled with FUCH oil and fitted with NOK oil seals throughout. Damping rates are set approximately 25-30% above factory, giving a noticeably sportier ride quality without a punishing ride. The gas assistance adds a progressive, refined feel to the damping response, keeping the car composed at extreme ride heights where the suspension geometry is working harder.
