The whole unit gets shorter or longer depending on your target ride height, and because the piston rod position relative to the strut body doesn't change, you retain 100% damper travel throughout. Height adjustment is possible while the kit remains fitted to the car.
The Proline's gas-assisted, oil-filled dampers are filled with FUCH oil and fitted with NOK oil seals throughout. Damping rates are set approximately 25-30% above factory, giving a noticeably sportier character without punishing harshness. The gas assistance adds a progressive, refined feel to the damping response, keeping the car composed at extreme ride heights where the suspension geometry is working harder.
