Drop Link Fitment Guide
Here are some answers to some common questions we get asked regarding fitting our Stance+ Shortened Drop Links, Adjustable Length Drop Links or our Premium Adjustable Length Drop Links …..

All our Stance+ Drop Link Kits should be fitted by a qualified professional. Please make sure you read and understand the fitting advice below-
Stance+ Shortened Drop Links:
Short Drop Links can be required when a car has been lowered more than 40mm or more commonly when an aftermarket suspension kit has been fitted. Our fixed length shorter drop links are the simplest way to sort the anti-roll bar geometry on a lowered car. They are an easy out "of the box" solution that requires no setting up. Simply bolt them into place, job done.
Our short drop links are used mainly on Coilover Suspension Kits where the drop link brackets are located lower down the strut housing compared to the factory fitted dampers. A drop link bracket welded lower down the strut compared to the factory unit means a shorter drop link needs to be use.

- Raise the car safely on both sides using suitable trolley jacks, or a professional lift system, remove both wheels to access the suspension struts and drop links on both sides of the car.
- To remove the drop links safely the front anti roll bar must be under no tension.
- Un-bolt the top and bottom bolt on the drop links on both sides of the car and remove.
- Now, simply bolt the new shorter drop links into place. Please note some cars use L/H and R/H drop links so make sure the drop links you remove mirror the design of the new shorter ones you are fitting.
- Torque mounting bolts (supplied) to factory specification.
- Check the roll bar angle and inspect for any fowling or contact before placing the vehicle back on the ground.
- Replace wheels and safely lower the vehicle.
- Check steering input from left full lock to right full lock ensuring contact free movement.
- Professional fitting normally takes around 20-30 minutes.
Stance+ Adjustable Length Drop Links and Premium Adjustable Length Drop Links:
Our range of adjustable length heavy duty drop links are to be used when the factory supplied drop links are too long. This can be necessary when a car has been lowered more than 40mm or more commonly when an aftermarket suspension kit has been fitted.
Some aftermarket suspension kits and coilover kits are designed to use the factory length drop links, however some kits are not. It all depends on where the drop link bracket has been mounted on the front strut.
Our adjustable length drop links are used mainly on Coilover Suspension Kits where the drop link brackets are located lower down the strut housing compared to the factory fitted dampers. A bracket welded lower down the strut compared to the factory unit means a shorter drop link needs to be use. The adjustable length drop links allow you to set the roll bar at the perfect neutral point, the simplest way to sort the anti-roll bar geometry on a lowered car.
