Air Suspension Lowering Link Fitment Guide
Here are some answers to some common questions we get asked regarding fitting our Stance+ Air Suspension Lowering Links…..
Fitting the Stance+ Air Suspension Lowering Link Kit:
Please ensure a capable, fully qualified car mechanic or vehicle technician fits your Stance+ Air Suspension Lowering Link Kit. All our kits are supplied as a complete car kit (2 or 4 adjustable lowering links depending on vehicle application). They are designed to be a direct replacement to the factory fitted fixed length linkages.
Fitting: The car must be jacked up and wheels removed. carefully remove the o.e linkages, the ball joints are fragile so specialist tools are recommended to avoid damaging the parts during removal. Replace the factory links with the new and much tougher aluminium lowering links. The stainless steel ends on the new lowering links simply "click" into place, and are secured into place with the integrated split pin. New rubber spacer grommets are also included in the kit.

Setting up the ride height on your Stance+ Air Suspension Lowering Link Kit:
Once the air suspension lowering link kit has been professionally fitted the ride height needs to be set up. This needs to be done by a professional ensuring there will be no tyre to wheel arch contact (this can happen if the suspension is set up too low). Once a suitable ride height has been set, the tracking, camber and alignment will need to be re-set. This needs to be done with a suitable laser alignment machine designed for lowered vehicles (normally Hunter branded). Failure to re-set the alignment will result in poor handling and un-even tyre wear.
The length of the link determines the drop. We suggest minor 2-3mm length adjustment at first to find a decent base lowering measurement. Once the desired ride height has been achieved tighten down the locking nuts and your good to go. The kits use unique R/H and L/H threads for precision fitment. By simply lengthening or shortening the adjustable Stance+ linkages the ride height sensors will send altered information to the car’s suspension ECU which will lower the car.
Stance+ Air Suspension Lowering Link Kit maintenance:
We recommend that a small amount of copper grease be added to the ball joint and thread of each adjustable link end.
As you know the lowering links are located under the wheel arches and exposed to all types of weather. The grease will give added protection against water, dirt, and road salt during the brutal British winter months.
We suggest regular cleaning and re-greasing during the winter period, not mandatory but a wise choice to prolong the lifespan of your Stance+ Lowering Link Kit.
