Stance+ Street Coilovers VW Golf MK 1 Gti Project Car
Welcome to our Stance+ Shop VW Golf Mk 1 Gti project car.
This car belongs to our good friend and in-house photographer Dave.
Probably one of the best VW Golf Mk1's around. Fully restored running a 2.0 16v engine matched to a 5 speed gearbox from the VW Golf Mk3 Gti 16v.
This Golf Mk 1 uses our Stance+ Street Coilover kit for the perfect driving stance and Stance+ PCD adapters (4x100 to 5x130) as the BBS wheels were supplied in Porsche 5x130 PCD.
The car is lowered approximately 80mm and is mainly used for shows and dry weekend blasts. The ride is slightly firmer than stock but the Street Coilovers are designed for road use so is very compliant on the road. The spring and damping rates are increased by around 25% so not too stiff if you were to use the car everyday.
You don't see cars like these very often, but when you do they are a real head turner!
