Welcome to our Stance+ Shop VW Caddy Mk 4 (2K) project Van (2020-Present day)
We bought this VW Caddy Mk 4 (2K) Facelift van new back in November 2020. Our previous Caddy Mk3 had been a great showcase for our Stance+ Street Coilovers but the new shape Mk4 really caught our eye. We decided to sell the old van and buy a new and super fresh VW Caddy Mk4 to add to our fleet.
In late 2020 we decided to update and re-fresh the Stance+ Street caddy kit. A few customers had requested we increase the lowering capabilities so our factory obliged. This van was used as a test bed for the newly revised kit. This new kit (which is the kit we sell today) allows an extra 15mm of lowering on the front and extra 10mm of lowering on the rear.
The new lower Street kit was fitted in March 2021. We still own the van and use it most days, the Street kit rides really well allowing a drop on the front from 30-110mm and the rear 30-120mm.
So far we have covered just 12,000 miles and are super happy with the ride quality and drop. I don't honestly think we will ever sell this van, it just looks too good!
As you can see the van is set very low. Its more of a show van than a daily work horse but like most of our customers we were after a meaner and much more aggressive stance.
With the van being set so low you would think the ride would be very harsh however we are pleased to report it was very compliant and drives great. You just need to be very careful to not catch the front spoiler on speed bumps and steep inclines.
The front coilovers are wound all the way down, with around 5mm of thread left, the rear shackle kit was set on the second setting from the bottom. We find this the perfect set up for daily use, however you need to be careful with the front subframe on speed bumps and potholes.
Often copied never bettered. Over the past few years we have seen a few companies calling their kits Stance or Stanced. These are not genuine Stance+ kits. Some customers get very confused as to which kit to buy.
The genuine Stance+ kits are powder coated black, with anodised PURPLE Aircraft-Grade Hardware: Precision-machined T6 aluminum spring seats and locking collars that won’t strip, seize, or crack under load—unlike fragile composite/plastic alternatives.
